Convey Wireless Announces the Availability of Pooling Plus Solution; Enabling Customers to Further Reduce Their Operating Costs and Create a Competiti

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) September 25, 2007 -- In partnership with some of its customers, Convey Wireless has developed and launched a new GSM GPRS pricing solution for the US market; enabling customers to further reduce their operating costs and successfully capitalize on new market opportunities in the Machine to Machine (M2M) market.

In the M2M market and its various segments, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and customers currently purchase SIM cards at pre-specified bandwidths and at set pricing. In addition, additional surcharges are imposed for overage and other usage scenarios. For some VARs and customers, the operational management associated with this pricing structure becomes a challenging task. Usage of existing SIMs has to be monitored carefully on an on-going SIM by SIM basis to optimize cost and new SIM card additions have to be planned carefully.

Some suppliers have introduced Pooling for bandwidth but this option really doesn't solve the problem for customers. Pooling helps in reducing the impact of overage charges but the customer still has to manage the total usage of SIMs and carefully plan the additional bandwidth of new SIMs.

Convey's Pooling Plus solution provides a complete solution for customers. "With Pooling Plus, customers can order GPRS SIMs without specifying the associated bandwidth. At the end of the month, we take the total bandwidth utilized and charge the customer at the contracted rate. As long as the average used bandwidth per SIM is greater than 350KBytes per month, customers can opt for this option. We are pleased to be able to expand our pricing options and extend this cost-saving strategy to our customers," said Mr. Ram Mistry, VP of Sales.
