Business Telephone Systems Provider Hi-Line Supply Introduces New Web Strategy For Current Website

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 4, 2007 -- Hi-Line Supply, the Dallas-based business telephone system and equipment company, has decided to introduce a new web strategy for their current website in order to revive their once exceptional Google search placement through the application of SEO best practices.

Several years after introducing Hi-Line Supply's new website design and experiencing healthy search engine placement, the telephone company noticed a substantial drop in their Google rankings in January 2006. In order to address this situation, Hi-Line contacted website design and marketing company LevelTen Design.

"I keep this in mind. If one day Google called me up, and asked why I did something on a site in a certain way, I always want to have a useful and legitimate business reason, which is not 'for the sake of tricking search engines,'" said Tom McCracken Director at LevelTen when asked his thoughts on using SEO.

LevelTen did some detective work, and took the process recommended by Google to discover if any penalties were being assessed. After a handful of conference calls and round table discussions, LevelTen made recommendations of best practices based on the success of past sites in order to provide the best long term solution for Hi-Line.

While Hi-Line owns several highly-sought after domain names, this was a case where too many domains were hindering the optimization of the primary site. Hi-Line found it was better to create one solid site whatever the domain may be, verses several with keyword packed domains using duplicate content.

"Owning a short, memorable domain is a great asset when advertising in more traditional media such as TV, radio, and print, but it is not the 'end-all be-all' when trying to catch the attention of the search engines," said Neil Lemons Internet Marketing Specialist for LevelTen Design.

With the implementation of Hi-Line's new website strategy, they hope to once again regain their placement on top search engines in order to be easily accessible to target customers.
