Florida Direct Marketing Association Annual Mktg Summit 2007 Launches With Digital Direct Marketing Education Day September 19

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) August 22, 2007 -- The Florida Direct Marketing Association (FDMA) will hold a Digital Direct Marketing Education Day on September 19, a day of pre-conference seminars preceding the group's flagship event of the year, the FDMA Annual Summit on Thursday September 20. Both the pre-conference Digital Direct Marketing Day and the Annual Summit will take place at the Westin Hotel Ft. Lauderdale. The line-up includes Advanced Search Engine Marketing training taught by Joe Laratro, running concurrently with the Email Marketing & Deliverability Boot Camp taught by Karen Talavera and sponsored by email marketing compliance service company Lashback.

The 2007 Annual Summit, "From Demand Generation to Dialog Creation" has been re-designed and expanded over previous years to include both educational seminars and traditional networking and conference speakers. "We're thrilled to expand our programming to include in-depth professional development in one of the newest sectors of direct marketing - digital media," said Keith Fletcher, FDMA President. An even more dialog-based online marketing channel than search is email, so the FDMA also offers its Email Marketing Boot Camp taught by veteran email marketing educator Karen Talavera of Synchronicity Marketing. This one-day seminar is an ideal immersion into permission email marketing, covering the essentials from evolving legislative regulations to avoiding the pitfalls of email deliverability and poor reputation, to message design, campaign deployment, testing and metrics. Numerous real-life email marketing messages will be showcased and analyzed. Having designed and taught the DMA's email marketing seminars for nearly the past decade, Talavera is an experienced email and integrated marketing expert who moved her consulting business to south Florida two years ago.
