This year's Summit will be the third (1997, 2004) to address health disparities among women of color living in the United States.

Tate's career has encompassed experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and development of community-based health care programs. His book, "War on Weight", published in 2005, provides a 40 day approach to losing weight and maintaining weight loss through principles built around a balance of mental, physical, and spiritual commitment.
